Dwayne Andrew Parham is an attorney, licensed in the State of Alabama. He assists clients with various legal claims including: Employment Discrimination, Personal Injury, Criminal Defense, and Family Law.
Dwayne officially started his legal career back in 2014, as a legal intern at the New York City Department of Correction’s Rikers Island. He was able to teach inmates how to thoroughly research legal issues for their cases. There, he became further invested in helping those, who may not be able to help themselves, navigate the seemingly overwhelming legal system.
In 2018, Dwayne began working for New York City's Corporation Counsel. While working for the Special Litigation, and Special Federal Litigation Units of Corporation Counsel, he was involved in the most high profile cases against the City of New York. As a trial preparer, he handled various matters including, police misconduct, wrongful death, car accidents, catastrophic injuries, slip and falls, dog bites and trip and fall cases. Dwayne worked in that role for more than 3 years, before opening his solo practice.
Dwayne received his bachelor’s degree in International Business, and an associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies from Berkeley College. Dwayne received his Juris Doctor, from Dwayne O. Andreas Barry University School of Law, in 2017. While attending Barry University School of Law, Dwayne was an active member of the Phi Alpha Delta, finished top 8 of the 1L Mock Trial Competition, for the defense, a Volunteer Income Tax Assistant, and a member of the Earth and Environmental Law Clinic.
